Boston, MA - July 2nd, 2009 - Patrick Jerome, of Bway 7 Productions, Inc., a local film and video production company based in Boston for the last 16 years, has done it again, this time having a week-long screening at Kendal Square Cinema.
“Walls Have Ears”, is a gripping story of love, money, and obsession. The feature-length film was recently featured at the 10th Black Hollywood Film Festival in Beverly Hills, California in June, 2009 and is now coming to the Kendall Square Cinema in Cambridge, MA on July 10th through July 16th. Synopsis: Samuel Auguste, (Mansur) nicknamed “Papa Sam” is a Boston native and head of his family. He has just won a $2 million lottery and is obsessed with his newfound wealth. At the same time, his wife’s neice, Tatiana Thomas (Dahiana Torres), nicknamed “Toutou”, shows up at their house, seeking refuge from an abusive husband in the form of one wildly flamboyant character, named “Don Pepe” (Romond Pamphile). Upon hearing Toutou’s stories about how badly Don Pepe is treating her, the shocked and angered family agrees to help her. Meanwhile, Don Pepe has followed Toutou to Boston and is set on bringing her back to New York. He becomes embroiled in a fight for Toutou. After a series of unpredictable events, no one will ever be the same.
During the 7pm screening on Saturday, July 18th and Sunday, July 19th the feature film will be pre-empted by Patrick Jerome’s latest short called “Office Rampage”, a story about a troubled office worker, Robert Smith, who has been fired from his job, and returns seeking vengeance. At the same time, Robert’s former boss, is facing a lawsuit for sexual harassment. His trial sets off a chain of events that entangles many employees from all walks of life and drags them to a destiny that ultimately changes them all.
